Customizing entry structure

If you are converting a *.tbx, *.olif and MultiTerm 5 format, you can specify which fields you want at each level of the termbase entries.

If you convert MultiTerm 5 files you have the option to create nested structures.

As MultiTerm 5 did not have the language level, you can create it here so that you can use it after you have created the new termbase. However, no data from the MultiTerm 5 database will be migrated onto this level.

Elements in the tree under Entry structure are displayed in three colors:

  • Black: you can attach fields to.
  • Gray: shortcuts used to assign fields to the same level in all languages.
  • Green: fields that can be assigned at any level.

For MultiTerm 5 conversion, selecting the Advanced... button gives you additional options:

  • Apply language locale to sub-ordinate text fields - Select this option and the language locale of a language field will be applied to all of its subordinate text fields. However, if there is information above the language level, the language locale will need to be defined.
  • Keep automatic attribute fields - Select this option to specify that all history fields on term and field level are migrated to the corresponding history fields in the MultiTerm XML format file. If the MultiTerm 5 file does not contain the history fields, they will be added and filled with the appropriate values from the existing history fields.
