Archive Manager Explorer prerequisites

The Archive Manager Explorer (server-side) is installed as a Web application on a machine that has Content Manager for SDL Tridion installed. The client runs in a browser and has the same prerequisites as the Content Manager Explorer GUI client for SDL Tridion.

Content Manager is required for the following reasons:

  • to allow access to the security features set up for the Content Manager (users, groups, and permissions)
  • to allow you to link page artifacts displayed in Archive Manager Explorer to the actual Content Manager item from which the page was constructed

The prerequisites for installing Archive Manager Explorer (servers-side) are the same as those of a supported version of Content Manager.

To run Archive Manager Explorer (server-side) on a machine, that machine must have Content Manager for SDL Tridion 2013 SP1 installed.

To run the Archive Manager Explorer client, you need any browser supported by the Content Manager Explorer GUI for SDL Tridion 2013 SP1.
