Searching for information
From Contenta Web, you can search for container objects, content within container objects, and property sheet metadata.
Search Modes
Contenta and Contenta S1000D use Solr as the search engine. In Contenta Web, search is comprised of the following three modes:
- Quick Search
- Advanced Search
- Power Search
Search Results
Search results are returned in the Results view based on the frequency of matches (or Rank). To locate the object in the S1000D object hierarchy, double click an individual result. The object hierarchy in the Tree view expands to reveal the object.

Column Display
In the Results view, you can control which columns appear in search results by right-clicking in any column header.
