Configuration packages contain the files and configuration settings that comprise the skin (look/feel and interface functionality) that you want to push to all the content delivery servers in the content distribution profile that uses this package.
About this task
A configuration package used for distribution cannot contain any publications. Do not select any publications or language variants to include in this package.

Procedure
- Log in to SDL LiveContent Reach as a member of either the admin or dba group.
- If you are in a SDL LiveContent Reach tool, click Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Review and Collaboration landing page appears.
- In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Application.
The Manage Application page appears.
- In the left pane, click Packaging, and then click ADD.
- Enter a name for the profile.
Note: Your profile name can only contain alphanumeric characters and underscores(A-Z, 0-9, '_') and must be less than 32 characters in length.
- On the Global Config tab, do the following:
- Add any configuration items that you want to push to the content delivery servers.
- Check the box for each configuration item that should be pushed to the content delivery servers.
- For each checked configuration item, ensure that the configuration value is correctly set for the content delivery servers.
- On the Skins tab, next to each skin, click one of the following:

| Include | Includes the skin in the configuration package that is distributed to the content delivery server. The skin will be installed or updated on the content delivery server. |

| Exclude | Does not include the skin in the configuration package. If the skin already exists on the content delivery server, it is not updated, nor is it deleted. |

| Delete | Removes the skin from the content delivery server. You cannot delete the base skin from the content delivery servers. |

- On the Search tab, check the customized search categories that you want to push to the content delivery servers.
- On the Forms tab, next to any form definition, do the following:

| Include Form | Sends the form definition to the content delivery group. If the definition already exists on the content delivery servers, it is updated. |

| Include Instances | Sends instances (completed forms) to the content delivery group. You can include the instances of forms which are configured as floating. If this option is selected, all floating form instances of this type will be included in the package. |

- Click Save.
- Click Export Package.
