Reassigning Your Web Editor Task

If a Web Editor task has been assigned to you, you see a GO button beside the task in your task list. If you have permission to reassign the Web Editor task, an Assign link displays directly to the right of the GO button.

Procedure

  1. From your task list, open a project workflow. On the service assigned to you, click the Assign link to the right of GO.
  2. A window opens, allowing you to enter an email address and an expiration date. The Email Address must be a valid email address for the provider to whom you are reassigning the task. The Expiration Date is the date and time at which point the provider's access to the Web Editor task will be automatically revoked.
  3. Once you have entered the email address and expiration date, click Assign. Once the expiration date passes, the assigned user will no longer be able to access the task.
  4. An email is sent to the new provider with a link to the Web Editor task, the username (the email address) and a randomly-generated password.
  5. The GO button disappears from your task list, and the Assign link changes to display the username (which is also the email address) of the new assignee.
