Working in the Authorization Summary or PJM Authorization Summary screen

This screen enables you to authorize more than one language pair at a time. This authorizes all tasks from the selected language pair at once.

Procedure

  1. In the Inbox view, click the job's icon. If you are the My jobs screen, click the same icon under Jobs for Authorization.
The Authorization or PJM Authorization screen is displayed. For a complete description of the screen, consult the TMS Online Help.
  2. Analyze the information in the Authorization Summary table for the first language pair:

    • If you want to choose a different workflow for the language pair, select the workflow from the list in the Workflow box (alternative workflows are not always available).
    • If the Vendor/Cost Model column appears in the Authorization Summary table, you can assign a vendor to the tasks in this job by selecting the vendor in the Vendor/Cost Model box.
    • If alternative cost models are available, select each cost model in turn and view the effect on the translation cost. The final cost model selection will be used to generate invoice amounts when the tasks are authorized.
    • If you want to see the individual tasks for a language pair, click the link in the Language Pair column. The tasks are displayed on the Authorization/PJM Authorization screen (where you can authorize the tasks). When finished click Back to return to the Authorization Summary screen.
  3. Authorize, reject or terminate the tasks for the language pair:
    • If you want the tasks for the language pair to be translated, select the language pair and click Authorize. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Info to clear the message from the screen.
    • If you do not want the tasks for the language pair to be translated, select the language pair and click either Terminate or Reject.
      • Click Terminate to terminate the tasks. When you click Terminate a window containing a list of termination reasons is displayed. Choose a reason and click Yes. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Info to clear the message from the screen.
      • Click Reject if there was an authorization step before this one and you want to return the tasks to the person who performed that step. When you click Reject a comment window is displayed. Enter the reason why you are rejecting the tasks and click Submit. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Info to clear the message from the screen.
    • If you do not want any tasks to be translated for any language pair, you can delete the job. To delete the job, click Edit. The Job/Edit screen is displayed. Click Deactivate Job. Confirm that you want to deactivate the job and then click Delete.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each language pair. Alternatively you can select all language pairs and Submit or Reject them.
  5. Continue working on the job until all tasks for all language pairs have been authorized, rejected or terminated. The job will remain in your inbox as long as there are any tasks which have not been authorized, rejected or terminated.
