Supported package formats

In SDL Trados Studio 2015 you can work with the following package formats. Depending on which version of Studio you purchased, you may or may not be able to perform of all of the actions below. See About Product Licensing for more information.

You can open packages from users still working in Studio 2011. These are the same package formats used in Studio 2015.

SDL Trados Studio 2011 (all versions) Return Packages*.sdlrpx

You can open packages from users still working in Studio 2011. These are the same package formats used in Studio 2015.

SDL Trados Studio 2009 (all versions) Project Packages*.sdlppx

You can open packages from users still working in Studio 2009. You can also create this package format in Studio 2015 to send to a user who is still working with Studio 2009.

SDL Trados Studio 2009 (all versions) Return Packages*.sdlrpx

Studio 2015 can open return packages from Studio 2009.

SDL TMS Project Packages*.stppk

These are packages created in TMS and can be opened in Studio.

SDL TMS Return Packages*.strpk

If you have opened a project package from TMS in Studio, the return package will automatically be created in a format that you can upload back to TMS. This package can only be created by the person who originally received the TMS project package.

SDL WorldServer Project Packages*.wsxz

These are packages created in WorldServer and can be opened in Studio.

SDL WorldServer Return Packages*.wsxz

If you have opened a project package from WorldServer in Studio, the return package will automatically be created in a format that you can upload back to WorldServer. This package can only be created by the person who originally received the WorldServer project package.
