As of SDL Tridion 2009, you can create and generate template code in a number of languages and styles.
As of SDL Tridion 2009, the following server side scripting languages and styles are supported to implement Content Delivery functionality:

The SDL Tridion 2009 (ASP.NET or Java) APIs support Content Delivery functionality for SDL Tridion 2009 or later such as the retrieval, display, and filtering of taxonomies and taxonomic relations and the querying of content relations for taxonomies:
The SDL Tridion 5.3 APIs (COM and ASP.NET) are also available (these APIs do not support functionality introduced in SDL Tridion 2009).
