Time frames

Time frame types are related to the calendar. That is, a monthly time frame always starts at the first of the month, and ends on the last day of the month. This topic lists the available time frames.

If the system starts on a date other than the first of the month, and the specified time frame is monthly, a new time frame is started for that specific month, but the start date, for example, the 12th, is included:

The end date for the time frame is also included.

You can also use a multiplier in combination with the time frame. This makes it possible to track every two or four hours, for example. The multiplier must be a number between 1 and the maximum amount of logical multipliers of that time frame. That is, if the time frame is hourly, this multiplier is a number between 1 and 24.

After a time frame has expired, the active tracking record is archived and a new record is created to store information for the new time frame. If you change the time frame configuration, you must restart the server. The system checks for new time frames after every reboot. If the time frame configuration is different from the last stored record, the system backs up the previous tracking record and begins a new record.
