Changing the account settings in IIS

If the Content Manager Service user account is changed follow this procedure to change the account for IIS settings.

About this task

There are two sets of steps for this task:
  • Setting Application Pools.
  • Enable Anonymous users.

Procedure

  1. Setting Application Pools
  2. Open the Internet Information Services management by clicking Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  3. In the Connection pane on the left, expand <computername> then click Application pools.
  4. In the middle pane, click on a Content Manager IIS application pool for which the username has to be changed. The application pool begins with the name Trisoft, for example: TrisoftAppPoolISHWS.
  5. In the Action Pane on the right, click Advanced Settings.
  6. In the Advanced Settings window, open Process Model > Identity.
  7. Click the ellipsis button on the right for more settings.
    An Application Pool Identity window is displayed.
  8. Select Custom Account then click Set.
  9. Enter the same User Name and Password as you did for COM+.
  10. Click OK to save the changes.
  11. Repeat the steps for the all the application pools relevant to Content Manager (their names start with Trisoft).
  12. Enable Anonymous users
  13. In the Connection pane on the left, expand Sites then click Default Web Site.
  14. For each of ISHSTS, ISHCM and ISHWS you find under Default Web Site:
    1. Open Authentication from the central pane,
    2. Right-click Anonymous Authentication (that should be Enabled) and select Edit,
    3. Set to Application pool identity and click OK.
