Draft Space lets you create new versions for topics you select in the document.
Before you begin
- A document is displayed in Draft Space and you have the rights to edit it.
- New versions can be created for the selected topic, map or document: a topic is always inside a map which is inside a document and both can have a status that prevents from creating new versions, or can also be currently used by other users.
Procedure
- In the Outline tab, select the topic for which you want to create a new version. That topic must have a Released type of status.
- In the ... menu located at the top left corner of the selected topic, select Create a new version.
This will open the Properties for a new version. dialog. The properties visible in that dialog depend on your specific configuration.
- If you want to describe the reasons why a new version is needed, switch on the Show optional fields slider and write the reasons in the Changes field.
This description will be attached specifically to the new version you have created.
- Select Create.
You document now contains the new version, which you can edit in Draft Space. There is no need to save the changes, the new version is automatically selected for the document.
