Publishing publications
To create output in Content Manager, you create and publish the publication object.
- Defining Output Formats
Define the output formats needed for publishing. This task requires a user with an administrative role. It also assumes that the style sheets for that output format are in place. After defining the output formats, the end user can add them to a publication using Publication Manager. - Adding output to a publication using Publication Manager
You add output to your publication from a list of output formats that were defined in the Content Manager Web Client by an administrator. - Adding output to a publication in the Web Client
Add defined output formats to your publications to allow users to choose how they want to render their output. - Using product family name and release name when publishing to Dynamic Delivery
A set of publication properties directly interact with Dynamic Delivery in order to better manage your publication version's visibility. - Setting conditions on data and configuring custom output
This scenario describes tagging data with conditions and configuring two publication output formats to include and exclude the conditional data. - Generating output
You can generate output at any time from the Publication Manager. Since publishing is done on the server, it does not hinder you from continuing to work on your system. - Accessing the DITA Open Toolkit log from Publication Manager
When an issue occurred during publishing, you can access the DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT) log directly from Publication Manager for debug. - Unpublishing a publication
You can remove access to content after it became obsolete but if this content has been deployed, it can still be found on the internet (through searches for example). The unpublish feature insures a clean removal of this deployed content. - Publishing status
When you publish there are several different status that can be reported, each telling you something about the publish process or the publish outcome. - Downloading output
You can download output onto your local system, that has a status of Draft, Release Candidate, or Released.
