Deleting Initiatives

You can delete an Initiative in the Online Marketing Explorer, or in the Content Manager Explorer. If you delete a Folder containing Initiatives in the Content Manager Explorer, you delete all the Initiatives contained within it.

Before you begin

You cannot delete a Live Initiative. You can only delete an Initiative whose status is Not Active, Not Tracked, Pre Live or Finished and:
  • The item is not localized in a Child Publication
  • The item is not in Workflow
  • The item is not checked out
  • The item is not a local item (the item is a local copy or a shared item)

Procedure

  1. Open the Online Marketing Explorer.
  2. In the Initiative Management navigation pane, browse through the Folder structure to locate your Initiatives. The Initiatives overview screen displays all the Initiatives in the currently selected Folder.
  3. Select the Initiative you want to delete and click Delete in the ribbon toolbar.

Results

When you delete an Initiative all tracking data, including data for Initiatives in Child Publications, is permanently removed. Deleting an Initiative removes the Initiative permanently from the Content Manager and deletes tracking information, but does not delete the Assets contained within it.
