Managing your Add-ons in the Add-ons screen
Select Add-ons in your slide-out navigation to access the Add-ons screen, in which you can manage the Add-ons that your SDL Tridion Sites implementation uses.
- The Manage tab on the Add-ons screen
The Manage tab of the Add-ons screen shows you a list of Add-ons uploaded to Tridion Sites. - Uploading an Add-on
To add one or more Extensions to your implementation of Tridion Sites, in the Add-ons screen, upload an Add-on package, that is, a ZIP file containing the Extensions. If the ID of the Add-on is the same as that of an Add-on that was previously uploaded, it will be considered an update of that Add-on. Some Add-ons require a separate configuration to be uploaded before the Add-on can be used. - Viewing the details of an Add-on
On the Add-ons screen, you can select an existing Add-on package to view more information on the package and the individual Extensions contained within it. - Uploading a custom configuration for an Add-on
Some Add-ons require a custom configuration, others allow for a custom configuration, and yet others allow for no custom configuration. If a custom configuration is required, the Add-on remains disabled until you add a custom configuration. Upload a custom configuration from the screen showing Add-on details. You can also upload a custom configuration file to an Add-on that already has one. In that case, your new file replaces the old custom configuration uploaded previously. - Downloading one or more Add-ons
In the Add-ons screen, you can download any, some or all of the Add-ons configured for Tridion Sites to a location on your client computer or local network drive. - Troubleshooting Add-ons
If one or more Extensions in your Add-on fail in one or more environments, your entire Add-on is considered to have failed. Your application administrator can either fix the problems, or take the offending environment(s) offline. If your application administrator then tells you that the Add-on is up and running again, go to your Add-on's detail screen and select Refresh above the list of Extensions. - Deleting one or more Add-ons
In the Add-ons screen you can delete any, some or all of the Add-on packages configured for Tridion Sites. This deletes both the data from the database, and the package from its storage location. - Finding and learning about developing Add-ons and Extensions
The Find and Develop tab of the Add-ons screen contains quick links to product documentation about working with Add-ons and Extensions in general, and about specific extension points in particular. It also enables you to visit the SDL AppStore in order to find Add-ons or Extensions, made by others, that you may wish to reuse.
