Integration with SDL Trados Studio

WorldServer and SDL Trados Studio both support the creation and exchange of packages (translation kits) for translation and review purposes.

The following scenario shows a typical package exchange between the two programs:
  1. A project manager creates a project package in WorldServer and sends it to a translator or reviewer.
  2. The translator or reviewer opens the package in SDL Trados Studio and starts translating or reviewing it.
  3. When finished, the translator or reviewer creates a return package from SDL Trados Studio and sends it back to WorldServer.

Depending on their permissions, translators or reviewers can:

    • Import the return package into WorldServer themselves—either manually, from the WorldServer user interface, or automatically, from SDL Trados Studio.
    • Send the return package to the project manager to import it.
Other interactions between the two programs include:
  • Importing QA Checker profiles from SDL Trados Studio and assigning them to project types in WorldServer.
  • Importing file type configurations from SDL Trados Studio into WorldServer.
