Segment filters in Browser Workbench
In each asset, all the segments are displayed by default. However, you can also focus on specific types of segments (for example, non-translated segments or segments with comments) by filtering them.
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| All segments | Shows every segment in the asset. |
| All except ICE | Shows every segment in the asset, except for those for which an ICE match was found. This is a good filter for translators to use when working, because translators can usually skip segments with ICE matches. To be considered an ICE match, a match candidate must meet the following requirements: the source text must be an exact match and must share a common usage context with the TM entry that provides the match. |
| All except ICE and 100% | Shows every segment, except for those for which an ICE match or a 100% match was found. |
| All 100% matches | Shows only segments that are 100% matches. This does not include ICE matches. |
| All repaired 100% matches | Shows only segments that have been repaired to be 100% matches. Repairs are in-memory changes; they are never stored automatically in TM translation records. If you agree with the repairs, you can choose to add new translation records to the TM when you save the asset. |
| All auto-translated | Shows only segments processed by the auto-translation mechanism of the translation memory, which copies the source to the target when it determines that the source does not need to be translated. For example, if a segment consists only of punctuation, it is usually auto-translated. |
| All non-translated | Shows only segments that have no status. This is the initial state of a segment that is not an ICE match or a 100% match. |
| All matching text | When you select this filter, it includes a search box, in which you can enter text for which you want to search. Only the segments that contain this text are displayed. |
| All with comments | Shows only segments that have comments attached. This is helpful for finding comments from the reviewer to the translator or vice versa. |
| All with no review status | Shows only segments that have no review status assigned to them. |
| All pending review | Shows only segments that have the Pending Review status. This means that a reviewer needs to review them. |
| All reviewed | Shows only segments that have the Reviewed status. This means that they are ready to be added to the translation memory. |
| All rejected | Shows only segments that have been rejected and should go back to the translator. If your reviewer has returned an asset to you to make changes, this is a good filter to use. |
| All with errors | Shows only segments that have errors. When translators or editors receive an asset back from a reviewer, they can use this filter to view only the segments marked with errors.
|
| All changed segments since last human step | Shows only segments that have been modified since the last human step in the workflow was completed. |
In large assets, where there are over 100 segments on a page (this is possible if you select View all pages or set Number of rows per page in tables to over 100 in your personal preferences), the system stops checking TM and TD matches per segment, to limit the number of queries. In this case, a question mark is placed on the match indicator icon. You need to select it to see whether there are any TM or TD matches.
