Viewing information about project groups and locales on the WorldServer 11 interface

This information relates to the tasks in a project or in a project group, as well as to the estimated translation cost of that project or project group, based on the applied scoping configuration and cost model.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
    On the WorldServer 11 interface, you can get to the Projects page in several ways:
    • By selecting Projects on the slide-out navigation pane (if it is available).
    • By selecting Work Volume or Your Assignments on the Overview tab of the Home page.
    • By selecting the number of projects displayed under Your Assignments.
  2. On the Projects page, do one of the following:
    • To view information about a project group, in the Status column, select Show project group information The Show project group information button on the new interface. next to the appropriate project group.
    • To view information about a target locale of a project, expand the project group that contains the project, and then, in the Status column, select Show project information The Show project information button on the new interface. next to the appropriate locale.
  3. Optional: At this point, you can also:
    • Refresh the information in the pane by selecting Refresh The icon corresponding to the Refresh button..
    • View this topic, as well as other Help topics by selecting Help The icon corresponding to the Help button..
    • View the information in full-screen mode by selecting Full screen The icon corresponding to the Full screen button.. To exit full-screen mode, select Exit full screen The icon corresponding to the Exit full screen button..
    • Collapse the pane by selecting Collapse.

Results

The Project Group/Locale Information pane is expanded and you can view the following information in it:
  • On the Project Group Information or Statistics tab, you can view the number of active, unassigned, and unclaimed tasks in that project group or project, the human steps that they are in, as well as the assignees and claimants of those tasks.
  • On the Scoping Information tab, you can view the following:
    Name of the field or columnDescriptionObservations
    Scoping ConfigurationThe scoping configuration applied to this project group or project.None.
    Cost ModelThe cost model applied to this project group or project.
    Total Based on Price Per WordThe cost of translating the project group or project based on the applied scoping configuration and cost model.
    MT Fuzzy WordsThe number of words where the best translation came from machine translation, rather than from a translation memory.
    Manual AdjustmentAd hoc charges or discounts, if applicable.For project groups, this information is displayed in separate columns in the Scoping Information table. For projects, this information is displayed in fields outside the table.
    Grand TotalThe total cost of the translation based on the scoping configuration, on the cost model, and on any ad hoc charges or discounts displayed in the Manual Adjustment field.
    Vendors NotesComments made by the vendor for future reference.
    Customers NotesComments made by the customer for future reference.
    The Scoping Information table also displays the number of words in different match ranges, based on the applied scoping configuration.
