Applying translation results
You can apply the available translation memory (TM) matches to your active file, in the Editor view. Two types of TM matches are available: repaired translation results (which use upLIFT Fuzzy Repair) and un-repaired translation results (which do not use upLIFT Fuzzy Repair).
Before you begin
To apply repaired or un-repaired translation results, you must make sure Match Repair is enabled.
About this task
By default, a lookup is performed in the TM automatically when you place the cursor in a segment.
Procedure
- Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
- Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
- Place the cursor in an area of the source text. The translation match results are displayed in the Translation Results window.
- If more than one match is found, in the Translation Results window, view the other matches by selecting Select Next Match or Select Previous Match. Alternatively, press Alt+PageUp and Alt+PageDown.
- In the Translation Results window, decide which match you want to apply to your translation: Apply Translation Result or Apply Translation without upLIFT Repair.
