Configuring SDL Trados Translator's Workbench file types

Configure Trados Translator's Workbench file type settings to customize the way bilingual documents created in Trados Translator's Workbench using Microsoft Word as a translation editor are processed during translation or review.

Procedure

  1. To configure file type settings, go to:
    • Projects view > Home > Project Settings, for the active project.
    • File > Options, for all future projects.
  2. Expand File Types and select SDL Trados Translator's Workbench.
  3. On the Settings page, customize general settings:
    • Treat special characters as inline tags - treats special characters as text or as tags. Examples of special characters are non-breaking space or discretionary hyphen. If you treat them as tags they are put into inline tags. Em dash and en dash are always treated as text.
    • Clear 0% match segments - automatically removes target content for 0% match segments..

    • Clear 0% match segments to automatically remove target content for 0% match segments.
  4. On the QuickInsert page, customize the QuickInsert settings for the QuickInsert group for this type of file.
  5. Click OK to close the window.
