During spell checking, you can ignore certain types of segments or elements within a segment, such as an email address. For example, locked segments are automatically excluded from spell checking.
Procedure
- Select from the Ribbon.
- In the Options dialog, in the navigation tree, select .
- Under Spelling, all ignore options for elements are selected by default. Clear or select the checkboxes of your choice.
Note: If you are using the Microsoft Word spell checker, the ignore settings for elements must be defined in Microsoft Word. Before doing this, close Trados Studio and then restart it after you have specified your settings.
- Under Ignore Segment Types, select or clear the checkbox next to the segment types you want to ignore or include in spell checking.
- Select OK to save your settings and close the Options dialog.
