Opening TMs
If you already have default translation memories (TMs) selected in the Options dialog or TMs selected in your Project Settings, these TMs open automatically when you open a file for translation. However, you can open other TMs, in the Editor, during translation.
Procedure
- Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
- Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
- In the Editorview, on the Home tab, select Project Settings.
- In the Project Settings dialog, on the Translation Memory and Automated Translation page, select the required TMs:
- To use a TM stored locally in a file, select Use and, from the drop-down list, select File-based Translation Memory.
- To use a TM stored on a server, select Use and, from the drop-down list, select Server-based Translation Memory. Select a TM from the Select Server-based Translation Memory dialog.
- To use a TM with languages that differ from the ones in your project, use the AnyTM options, either for local or server based TMs.
- To use a WorldServer TM stored on a server, first make sure you have installed the WorldServer Compatibility Pack for Studio, and select Use and, from the drop-down list, select WorldServer Translation Memory. Select a TM or TM group from the Select WorldServer Translation Provider dialog.
- The TMs you have added appear on the Translation Memory and Automated Translation page, and the Enabled and Lookup options are selected for the TM. When these options are selected, the TM is automatically searched during translation when a segment becomes the active segment (in an active row).
- Select OK to save your changes and to close the dialog.
