You can close a translation memory (TM) and remove it from the project, in the Editor view, when no longer necessary.
Procedure
- Decide whether you want to remove file-based TMs:
- For all future projects - Go to .
- For the current project - Go to the Projects view, and select the project. On the Home tab, select Project Settings, and then go to .
- Select the TM and select Remove.
- Select OK. The translation memory is removed from Trados Studio, but it is still available on your computer.
If you have any saved filters associated with that TM,
Trados Studio asks you whether you want to export them before removing the TM.
If Trados Studio was currently using the custom auto-substitution values of the removed TM, the Dates and Times and Numbers and currency settings under Language Pairs > [Language pair of the removed TM] > Auto-substitution are reset to default.
