Importing configurations for legacy filters

The removal of Silverlight pages in WorldServer 11.7 has brought about changes to the way in which file type configurations are created. Whereas regular file type configurations can be created in Studio and imported into WorldServer, configurations for legacy filters follow a slightly different approach and must be exported and imported as WorldServer objects.

About this task

Legacy filters are not supported. You should always use regular file types wherever possible.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Administration > Export Objects.
  2. In the Object Type list, select File Types.
  3. Export a configuration for the appropriate legacy filter.
  4. Open the exported .tml file and change the name of the configuration in the <filterConfig> and <configName> sections.
  5. Save and close the exported .tml file.
  6. In WorldServer, go to Management > Administration > Import Objects and import the new configuration.

Results

If the import was successful, you can go to Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > File Types and select Legacy Filters. The imported configuration will be available under its corresponding legacy filter.

What to do next

Select the link of the newly imported configuration and modify the configuration values to suit your needs.
