The WorldServer user interface

Starting with version 11, you can work with projects and tasks using one of two user interfaces: the one from earlier versions (also known as the Classic interface) and a new, completely redesigned interface, featuring a new project creation wizard and a more intuitive management flow (also known as the WorldServer 11 interface).

About the WorldServer 11 interface

One of the main areas in which the WorldServer 11 interface stands out compared to the Classic interface is user productivity—the WorldServer 11 interface was designed to make information more accessible and to make day-to-day interactions with WorldServer more productive by reducing the number of clicks and dialog boxes required to create and manage translation projects.

For example, if you select two project groups on the Projects page, you can complete the steps of all their tasks at the same time, regardless of their locales, by selecting Complete Step on the ribbon. An animated GIF file that shows how to complete multiple tasks from multiple project groups at the same time. In this case, the tasks need to be in steps that have the same transitions. For example, if one task is in the Translate step and another task is in the Review step, you cannot complete them at the same time unless they have the same transitions. Also, make sure that the task steps you want to complete are not claimed by other users.
Other changes that will improve your productivity include:

Starting with WorldServer 11.1, the WorldServer 11 interface also has a page on which administrators can manage and implement customizations.

About the Classic interface

If you have grown accustomed to the Classic interface and want to continue using it to work with projects and tasks, you can still do so; however, in future releases, certain major features might only be available on the WorldServer 11 interface.

Compared to the WorldServer 11 interface, on the Classic interface, you can also filter projects according to their workflow type and create quote-based projects.
