Draft Space screen layout
Use the various areas of the Draft Space for a variety of tasks.
- Menu bar
- Use the menu bar for basic editing and saving operations, and for opening the various menus, which reveal further buttons for inserting specific types of elements.
- Content area
- The content area shows the document and the maps and topics inside it.
- Side panel

The side panel, which you can slide out by clicking on the strip on the right hand side of the screen, contains the following side panel panes:
- Outline
- Use the Outline pane to quickly navigate through the structure of the document. You can also select Quick navigation to enter (part of) the name of a topic in the document and jump to it directly.
- Attributes
- The Attributes pane shows you the XML attributes of whatever element is currently selected in the content area. You can select or set values for attributes as needed.
- Comments
- The Comments pane shows you the comments that were submitted for the currently displayed content, either from Draft Space or from Review Space, and allows you to add comments yourself.
- Search
- The Search pane lets you search through the entire document and replace the searched text, provided that it occurs in a topic that is in a draft state.
- XML source code - </>
- The tab labeled </> reveals the XML source of the currently selected map or topic in read-only mode.
- Properties
- The Properties pane reveals the properties of the currently displayed topic or map
- Footer area
- The footer area of the screen shows you the path to the current element.
