You add condition names for authors to apply to data that is unique to a product, situation, or circumstance. The condition can be used to filter data for publishing or viewing by the end user.
Before you begin
- You must be a member of the system administration user group.
- Condition Manager must be installed on your system.
Procedure
- In Condition Manager, click All Condition Names.
- Click
The Add Condition Name window opens.
- In the Label field, type the name of the condition.
This name must be unique; it is displayed in Condition Manager and Condition Builder
- In the Description field, type a description of the purpose of the condition name.
- In the Internal Name field, type the string to be used to compose the value for the
@ishcondition attribute.
Note: The following characters are not allowed:
- Click OK.
The condition name is displayed in the top right pane.
- Click the Extra tab.
- From the drop-down menu in the Datatype field, select the type of the condition.
You can choose from the following options:
- In the Range field, click either Yes or No.
Yes indicates that the value may be a range such as
1.0 to 3.5 as opposed to a fixed value.
No allows you to add a list of values as needed.
- The Classification field is optional. You can use it to classify the condition names if needed.
- Click OK.
The condition name is listed in the top right pane.
