This topic describes tasks Contenta S1000D lets you perform with data modules.
- Defining a DMRL
Perform these steps to define a DMRL. - Creating DM templates
Contenta S1000D templates are used when you create DMs from codes that you have uploaded. - Creating DMs
Creating DM objects from DMCs or from a DMRL. - Deleting DMs
If it is not assigned to an object, you can delete a DM from the Contenta database. The deleted object can be recreated at a later time, if necessary. - Assigning data modules to a Contenta project
Assigning data modules to a Contenta project lets you put the content into a workflow. Once a data module s assigned to a Contenta project, you can use this same procedure to assign it to other projects. When an assigned DM is at the final step in all the workflows to which it is assigned, its status on the Manage DMRL and IRL window is "Ready." - Recreating deleted data modules
When you recreate a deleted data module, an object that contains the data in the template that is associated with the data module type is created. The new object does not contain data from the original data module that was deleted. - Exporting a DMRL
