Inserting a reference to a SCORM module

You can filter by Model, SCORM Issuer, and SCORM Number to quickly find and insert a reference to a SCORM Content Package Module. This feature lets you add references without having to manually enter the markup. The markup that is inserted is consistent with the S1000D issue in which it is being inserted regardless of the source.

Procedure

  1. In Arbortext Editor, place your cursor where you want to insert the reference.
  2. Click Contenta > Insert Reference.
If you cannot edit the module, the command is disabled.
  3. In the Contenta S1000D Insert Reference window, click SCORM.
  4. In the Model field, click the program to be referenced.
  5. In the SCORM Issuer field, click a code or click All.
  6. In the SCORM Number field, click a number or click All.
  7. Click Search.
  8. In the SCORM Module field, click a module (or CTRL-click to select multiple modules).
  9. Optional: Click Preview if you want to ensure that you have selected the correct SCORM module.
A read-only copy of the SCPM opens in a LiveContent Preview window.
  10. Click Insert Reference.

Results

A reference to the selected SCPM is inserted with the correct markup for the S1000D issue of the module being edited. In a CSDB that supports multiple languages, if language and country codes are defined for the referenced SCPM, they will be included in the reference markup. After inserting the reference, you can change the languageIsoCode/countryIsoCode attribute values (language/country attribute values in Issue 3.0) if needed, then run Validate to make sure the referenced object exists in that language/country in this CSDB.
