Preparing a CSV file to upload S1000D codes
This topic describes considerations for preparing a comma-separated value (CSV) file to upload S1000D codes using the S1000D Upload Codes tool.
The S1000D Upload Codes tool requires the following for a CSV file.
- The file name must include a
DMRL_prefix and a.csvextension. - Each entry must begin with
DMC,ICN,MNS,MNSCode, orPROGRAM. Entries not beginning with one of these prefixes are ignored. - Codes must include any leading zeroes.
To assist in preparing a CSV file for upload, Contenta S1000D delivers the following sample CSV files in the Contenta_home/S1000D_samples/data directory.
- Pre-Issue 4.0 codes only: DMRL-sample.csv
- Issue 4.0 or earlier codes: DMRL-sample_S1000D_40.csv
- Issue 4.1 or earlier codes: DMRL-sample_S1000D_41.csv
- Issue 4.2 or earlier codes: DMRL-sample_S1000D_42.csv
- Issue 5.0 or earlier codes: DMRL-sample_S1000D_50.csv
The sample files include comments about the type of data to include (denoted by #) followed by examples of the codes to be imported.
