Defining a DMRL

Perform these steps to define a DMRL.

Before you begin

Before you define a DMRL, ensure that you have added all the MNS codes you require. You also need to have created the program to which this DMRL applies. See Adding S1000D Programs.

About this task

When you define a DMRL for an S1000D program, you create only the Data Module codes, and not the Contenta objects themselves. You can opt to create the Contenta Data Module objects at this time or create them later (see Creating DMs).

Procedure

  1. In Contenta S1000D, navigate to the desired Configuration object.
  2. Click Tools, then click S1000D Define DMRL and IRL.
  3. Select the program whose DMRL you want to define.
  4. Click Define Data Module Codes.
  5. In each of the list boxes, select at least one of each type of code except LearnCode and LearnEventCode, which are available only for S1000D issue 4.0 and later data and are optional.
Language and country codes are not listed; in single-language CSDBs these codes are not set, and in multi-language CSDBs, these codes are set to the source language and country codes specified in the sourceLanguageCountryCode AppData setting.
  6. Click Define DataModule Codes.
