Exporting a DMRL

About this task

You can export a list of Data Module Codes to a comma-separated value (CSV) file. This procedure lets you export a subset of a program's codes, based on the Standard Numbering System, System Code, Subsystem Code, SubSubsystem Code, or Unit or Assembly code you select. To export all of the codes for a program, see Exporting a Program's Codes.

The resulting CSV file has the same format whether you export Issue 4.0 or higher codes (which may include Learn Codes or Learn Event Codes) or pre-4.0 codes.

You cannot export Data Module Codes and ICNs simultaneously, you must export once for each code type.

Procedure

  1. In Contenta S1000D, navigate to the desired Configuration object.
  2. Click Tools, then click S1000D Manage DMRL and IRL.
  3. In the S1000D Program drop-down list, click a program.

  9. Click DOWNLOAD to download the resulting CSV file.
  10. Click Save to save the file to the local system.
After the file has been saved, you are presented with an option to Open Folder. This option locates the file which you can then view in a text editor.

Results

The CSV file that is downloaded contains the data and headers that describe the data. The header information begins with a pound (#) character. EXPORT DMRL functionality adds language and country codes to CSV files exported from all CSDBs, including those that do not support multiple languages, if language and country codes were previously uploaded.
