Exporting an IRL

This task describes how to export a subset of a program's codes (based on the SNS directly, or by the System, Subsystem, SubSubsystem, or Unit or Assembly) to a comma-separated value (CSV) file.

About this task

To export all of the codes for a program, see Exporting a Program's Codes .

Procedure

  1. In Contenta S1000D, navigate to the desired Configuration object.
  2. Click Tools, then click S1000D Manage DMRL and IRL.
    The S1000D Manage DMRL and IRL window appears.
  3. From the S1000D Program drop-down menu, click a program.
    The program loads with codes in the System Difference Code (SDC) field sorted alphabetically.
  4. Click Manage ICN Codes.
  5. To filter on the SNS by its number:
    1. Click Direct SNS.
    2. In the SDC field, click one or more codes.
    3. In the SNS field, click a code.
  6. To filter on the SNS by its parts breakdown:
    1. Click System, Subsystem, SubSubsystem, Unit or Assembly.
    2. In the SDC field, click one or more codes.
    3. In the System field, click one or more codes.
    4. In the Subsystem field, click one or more codes.
    5. In the SubSubsystem field, click one or more codes.
    6. In the Unit or Assembly field, click one or more codes.
  7. Click Search.
    The modules that meet your search criteria appear below the Do Action drop-down list.
  8. In the ICN CODE column, click one or more ICNs to export.
  9. Above the ACTION-STATUS column, click Export IRL.
  10. Click DOWNLOAD to download the resulting CSV file.
  11. Click Save to save the file to the local system.
    After the file has been saved, you are presented with an option to Open Folder. This option locates the file which you can then view in a text editor.

Results

The CSV file that is downloaded contains the data and headers that describe the data. The header information begins with a # character.
