You can find a non ICN-based image by its file format and insert a reference to this image. This feature lets you add references without having to enter the markup manually. The markup that is inserted is consistent with the S1000D issue in which it is being inserted, regardless of the source.
Procedure
- In the editor, place your cursor where you want to insert the reference.
- Do one of the following.
- In Arbortext Editor, select .
- In Oxygen XML Author, select the Contenta S1000D tool panel Reference tab.
If the module is not writable, this command is disabled.
- In the Contenta S1000D Insert Reference window, click Image.
- In the Model field, scroll to the end of the list and click the applicable image type. For example, CGM or JPG.
- Click Search.
- In the Image field, click an image (or CTRL-click to select multiple images).
- Click Insert Reference.
The Insert Reference button is disabled if it is not valid to insert the reference at the cursor location.
If you exported graphics when you checked out this module, the graphic that you insert is displayed in the editor. See
Exporting and displaying graphics when you check out a module.
Note: If you selected multiple images, multiple figure tags with embedded graphic tags are created. If you want all of graphic tags to be in a single figure tag instead, you must manually modify the markup accordingly.
