Performing Document translation

The document translation feature allows you to translate the entire active document to the selected language, maintaining all formatting.

Before you begin

To use this feature, simply ensure that no text is selected and click Translate in the Language Weaver Word Add-in.

For more detailed instructions, follow the steps below.

Procedure

  1. Ensure that the Language Weaver Add-in is active and you are authenticated.
  2. Confirm that the selected languages, models and dictionaries are correct.
  3. Ensure that no text is selected.
  4. Select Translate.
  5. The active document will be sent to Language Weaver to start the translation of the whole document. The Translate button will show the progress of the translation. When the document is translated, you will be notified that the Language Weaver Add-in will create a new document in your Microsoft 365 Word instance. Select Yes.
  6. Microsoft 365 Word will then notify you that the Language Weaver Add-in is about to display a new window. Select Yes.
    The newly-translated document will open up as a new tab in your browser.
