Updating auto adaptive language pairs
Upload new TMX files to an existing auto adaptive language pair.
About this task
Once the auto adaptive language pair has been created, you need to upload the TMX files that will be used for the training. You can upload new TMX files as many times as necessary.
Procedure
- Log in to Language Weaver.
- Go to .
- Select the language pair that you want to update.
- Under Auto Adaptive, turn on or off the toggle next to Automatically adapt the language pair using data from approved feedback, dictionaries and uploaded TMX files. depending on your needs.
- Select an option for Adaptation Mode:
- Generic: Retains more of the generic nature of the baseline language pair. Recommended for use with multiple domains, especially the one covered by training data. Requires a longer adaptation time.
- Balanced: Offers a good balance between generic and domain-specific content.
- Domain Specific: Retains more of the domain-specific training set. Recommended for use with a single domain that matches the provided training set.
- Select the Upload TMX files... button to upload the .tmx or .zip file that will be used for the auto adaptation.
- (Optional) Select the Delete button next to a previously uploaded .tmx file if you want to remove it from the auto adaptative language pair.
Results
Once the process has finished, the number of translation units coming from the dictionaries, feedback and uploaded TMX files that were used in the training is displayed.
At this moment, the auto adaptive language pair is shown in the Translate tab.
