Brands
Brands are a collection of user provided Brand Entries (words, phrases, or search patterns) that give users control on how input data is translated by providing the ability to preserve or modify input data.
They are similar to Dictionaries, but they are not Language Pair specific and are applied on all translations.
Brands are ideal for preserving proper nouns, such as company names and product names, which can be presented consistently across all translations.
Brand Entries
A Brand Entry consists of the following fields:
- Source: A word, phrase, or search pattern that will matched against the input data. Required.
- Target: A word or phrase that the matched source entries will be substituted with. If not provided, the matched source entry will be substituted in the output.
- Comment: A word or phrase describing the entry.
- Is-Search-Pattern: If true, the source will be matched as a search pattern (ECMAScript regular expression syntax).
- Disabled: If true, the Brand Entry will not be used during translations.
