Fluent terminology

Use fluent terminology to retrieve context-aware matches from a dictionary.

Fluent terminology is a mechanism used to provide context-aware dictionary matching. When fluent terminology is turned on, the target terms retrieved from the dictionary are automatically inflected for person, number, and gender to fit well in the context of the target sentence.

While with the traditional dictionaries you need to provide the variants for a term, like singular/plural or masculine/feminine, this is not necessary with fluent terminology, as the target terms will be modified as per the needs of the context.

Fluent terminology is currently available for the following language pairs:
  • English <> Danish
  • English <> French
  • English <> German
  • English <> Russian
  • English <> Spanish
  • English > French Canadian
  • French <> German
  • Russian > German

This feature can be turned on or off at the term level.
