Installing the Language Weaver Edge add-in for Microsoft Office

Each set of add-ins has its own installer. Run a specific installer to add the add-ins for that Language Weaver product to all supported Office products.

Before you begin

Make sure:
  1. You downloaded the Add-in directly from the Connect tab
  2. You closed all Microsoft Office applications.

About this task

The following are the instructions for the Standard Installer. If you want to use the Silent Installer, see the next section.

You need to run the installer once, so that all the supported Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) have Language Weaver Edge translation enabled.

Procedure

  1. Access the machine where you have one or more of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint installed and where you want to add the Language Weaver product add-in.
  2. Run the installer and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
  3. For each supported Office product on your system, do the following:
    1. Start the Office product.
    2. In the ribbon toolbar of the product, select the new Translate tab and configure the add-in for Microsoft Office.
    After the configuration is done, you are logged in to Language Weaver Edge, and will stay logged in until you select Log out (for example, because your credentials changed).
