Starting training engines

Start your training engine to start creating new adapted language pairs in Language Weaver Edge.

Before you begin

If you're using a GPU for the training, it's not recommended to have any started translation engines using the GPU on the host while the training is taking place.

About this task

Training engines need to be started after they have been added to a Language Weaver Edge host. If a training engine is in the invalid state, restart it by stopping it and then starting it again.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Language Weaver Edge using a valid account.
  2. Select Manage > Deployment > Hosts.
  3. Under the Training Engines column, identify the training engine that you want to start and select the Start button next to it.

Results

The status icon will change to reflect its current state.

Running status: This element has successfully started.

Stopped status: This element has successfully stopped.

Invalid status: This element needs to be stopped and started, or removed and re-added.

What to do next

You can now proceed to adapt a language pair.
