Stopping Translation Engines

Stop your Translation Engines when you do not want to use them during the translation process. When you stop a Translation Engine, a Job Engine will no longer use it as a translation server for the Language Pair which that Translation Engine serves.

Before you begin

You need to have a Language Weaver Edge administrator user account to access the following operations. If you have a Language Weaver subscription and you want to access Language Weaver resources from within Language Weaver Edge, you must configure the Edge Cloud connection before you add any hosts or servers. All Language Pairs and Translation Engines which originate in Language Weaver are marked by a cloud (cloud symbol for BeGlobal language pairs and translation engines) symbol.

About this task

Translation Engine(s) on a Language Weaver Edge host need to be stopped when that host is removed from a Language Weaver Edge instance and when the language pair the Translation Engine is serving needs to be uninstalled from that host. Translation Engines need to be manually started after they have been added to a Language Weaver Edge host. If a Translation Engine is in the invalid state, restart it by stopping then starting it again.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Web GUI.
  2. Log in using a Language Weaver Edge administrator account.
  3. Select Manage > Deployment > Hosts.
  4. Under the Translation Engines column, identify the Translation Engine you want to stop and select the adjacent Stop button.
