Translating chat communications in the Agent Chat application

The ServiceNow Agent Chat application allows ServiceNow support agents to communicate with users in their own language.

In previous versions of ServiceNow (e.g., San Diego, Tokyo and earlier), ServiceNow and the Language Weaver Translation app also supported the Connect chat feature. This feature has been deprecated in Utah, Vancouver, and later versions.

Utah and Vancouver offer a new feature called Sidebar, which is similar to Connect chat. Sidebar discussions offer a chat-like environment for agents to interact with other agents, but ServiceNow does not support the Dynamic Translation application for this feature, so the Language Weaver Translation app cannot be used.
