Updating dictionaries

Add, update, or delete terms in a dictionary.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Language Weaver Edge using a valid account.
  2. Select the Dictionaries tab at the top.
  3. Select the dictionary you want to update.
  4. To add a new term:
    1. Select New Term.
    2. Enter the source term, the target term, and a comment (optional).
    3. Select Fluent Terminology if you want to turn on the fluent terminology for this term.
    4. Select Case Sensitive if you want to turn on the case sensitiveness for this term.
      When the Case Sensitive option is turned on, the target term is used in a translation only if the source term in the text being translated has the same letter casing as the source term in the dictionary. Also, this option can be turned on only if the fluent terminology is not used for the term.
    5. Select Create Term.
  5. To update an existing term:
    1. Select the source term, the target term, or the comment that you want to update.
    2. Make the necessary changes.
    3. Select the Save changes button to save the updates, or select the Cancel changes button to disregard them.
    4. Turn on or off the Fluent Terminology and Case Sensitive options as needed.
  6. To delete an existing term:
    1. Select the Delete entry button next to the term that you want to delete.
    2. Select the OK button to confirm the deletion.
