Use the LiveContent S1000D Publish tool to delete a publication.
Before you begin
- One or more packages must have been built using the LiveContent S1000D Publish tool.
- The user must have sufficient read-write permissions to create and modify configuration, data, and status log files in their respective directories.
Procedure
- Launch the LiveContent S1000D Publish tool.
- In Windows File Explorer, navigate to folder containing the LiveContentS1000DPublish.exe executable (by default LiveContent/PublishUI).
- Launch the executable using Run as Administrator.
The Publish tool launches in a browser window.
- From the LiveContent S1000D Publish home screen, click Publications.
The Publication List displays a list of the available publications.
- From the list, select one or more publications to delete and click Delete.
LiveContent S1000D displays a dialog prompting you to confirm that you want to proceed. The dialog includes a Show details link you can select to display a list of the selected items.
- Select Delete to delete the selected item(s).
LiveContent S1000D displays a dialog confirming the results of the delete.
- Select Close to dismiss the dialog.
Results
The LiveContent S1000D Publish tool does the following.
- Deletes the publication's configuration file from the LiveContent/templates/conf directory.
- Updates the PublicationsData.xml file in the LiveContentData/publishData directory.
- Deletes the DML file from the publication's source_xml folder in the LiveContentData directory if the publication is configured for applicability.
The associated publication folder in the LiveContentData\publications directory and its contents are not deleted.
