Redlining a CGM or SVG image

When viewing a CGM or SVG graphic in the main content area or a tear-off page, LiveContent S1000D provides tools you can use to mark up (or redline) the graphic.

About this task

This procedure describes redlining graphics using the built-in LiveContent S1000D image viewer, and does not apply to the isoView viewer for Internet Explorer.

When a CGM or SVG image is displayed, the graphics bar contains a More button as in the following example.

Procedure

  1. With a CGM or SVG graphic displayed in the main content area or a tear-off page, select More on the graphics bar to display redlining tools and enter redlining mode.
The graphics bar expands to include the following icons representing redlining tools.
  2. Use the redlining tools to mark up the graphic as desired.
The following table describes each of the redlining tools.

  3. Optionally, select and drag any redlining object to move it to a different location on the graphic.
  4. When you have finished making changes, select More to exit redlining mode.

What to do next

If you added redlining in a tear-off page, you must reload the image after closing the tear-off page to display the redlining in the main content area. To do so, select the link to the affected module in the publication's TOC.
