Suppressing referenced Data Modules in the table of contents

In order for LiveContent S1000D to resolve Data Modules, they must be referenced in a Publication Module. By default, any referenced Data Modules also appear in the table of contents. If you do not want a specific referenced Data Module to appear in the table of contents, you can suppress it.

Procedure

  1. Edit a Publication Module that contains one or more Data Modules that you want to suppress in the table of contents.
  2. Add a <pmEntry> element (or, in a Publication Module that is pre-Issue 4.0, a <pmentry> element).
  3. Within this element, add the following:
    • a <pmEntryTitle> element (or, in a Publication Module that is pre-Issue 4.0, a <title> element) containing the text "Reference Data Modules - Hide"
    • the referenced Data Modules that you want to suppress in the table of contents.
  4. Save and close the Publication Module.
