Reorganizing server-based termbases

Reorganizing a termbase cleans up the data. This helps to reduce the size of the database.

About this task

Before reorganizing a termbase, RWS recommends that you first stop the termbase to prevent user activity during reorganization.

Procedure

  1. In MultiTerm, access the Administrator view (if not already logged in):
    1. Add a server connection to MultiTerm. Go to File > Setup > Add.
    2. Select Administrator in the Navigation area.
    3. Select Log in from the Ribbon and fill in the credentials for the MultiTerm server.
  2. Select a server-based termbase.
  3. Select Stop from the Ribbon.
  4. Select Reorganize.
  5. Select Next.
  6. When the termbase has been reorganized, the Next button becomes active to show the results of the reorganization.
  7. Select Finish to close the Process Results page.
  8. Re-start the server termbase to make it available to the users assigned to it.
