Using MultiTerm restrictions and entry classes
You might want some entries in a termbase to be more secure than others and make them visible only to certain users.
- Classify the entries by entry class in MultiTerm Desktop or in MultiTerm Online.
- Set up two or more restrictions with different access rights to each class in MultiTerm Administrator.
Example - No Access
The termbase entries are in the Internal entry class and none of the restrictions that the user is a member of allows read or write rights for this entry class.
Example - Read Only Access
The termbase entries are in the Internal entry class and none of the restrictions that the user is a member of allows more than read access to entries in this entry class.
Example - Read Only and Write Access
Some entries in a termbase are in the Internal entry class and some in the Public entry class.
None of the restrictions that the user is a member of allows more than read access to entries in the Internal class and at least one of these restrictions allows read and write access to entries in the Public class. The user can see and edit entries in the Public entry class, but can only see the termbase entries in the Internal entry class.
