Publishing output

You can publish output at any time. Since publishing is done on the server, it does not hinder you from continuing to work on your system.

Procedure

  1. In Organize Space, go to Content > Structured Content.
  2. Locate the publication whose output you want to publish.
A list of outputs (combinations of file format and language) appears.
  3. In the list of publications, double-click the publication to show the detail view.
The detail view shows all publication versions, and within each version, the available output formats.
  4. Select the desired output.
If there are no options available, you must add an output format first.
  5. Click Publish.
The publish process begins. Publishing takes some time depending on the size of your publication.

Results

When publishing is finished, the status is either:
Draft
This status indicates that there may be a problem with the publication such as, not all objects are available or released, broken hyperlinks may have been encountered, some variables may not have a value defined, and so on.
Release Candidate
This status only occurs if all objects in the publication are released. This status indicates that all objects were released, no problems were encountered, and that the publication output can be released.
