Publication Manager
Publication Manager is the interface that you use to manage and control publications in the Content Manager Repository.
- Publication Manager user interface
We describe what you can find in Publication Manager's main tabs. - The repository
You use folders to create a hierarchy, organize, and store content in the Content Manager repository. - Creating an account and connecting to the Repository
Before you can use Content Importer, you need to set up your user account. If you installed Content Importer on a system where Publication Manager is already installed, the user account settings are recognized. - Browsing the repository
You can browse through the contents of the Content Manager repository. From the repository you can view metadata information, preview the contents of objects, check out, create, or delete objects, search the repository, and access your inbox. - Browsing local storage
Your local storage contains topics, maps, or libraries that you previously checked out or viewed. You can view a list of files that are saved in local storage along with some of the files' metadata such as status, last modified, version, language, and so on. - Searching for objects in the repository
You search for objects in the repository by typing one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into a search box then by clicking the Search button. The search mechanism searches both object-level metadata and full-text. - Managing publications
You can open a publication to modify it, view its structure, to access and view or edit its contents, or to create your publications.
