Browsing archived resources

The Go To tab is where you view the details of an archived resource. This topic walks you through the features in the Go To tab.

Procedure

  1. Open your browser and enter the URL address of the Archive Manager Explorer. The following image shows the Archive Manager Explorer Go To tab:
  2. In the Go To tab, enter a URL in the URL field to bring up, for example, the Home Page of your Web site, for example: http://www.mycompany.com:8080/index.jsp.
  3. Enter values for the Date and Time fields. By default, the current date and time are displayed. Enter the fields as follows:
    • If you want to view all records for the given URL, accept the default (the current date and time)
    • If you want to view the Page as it was on a given time in the past, for example on August 31st of last year, enter, for example, 31/08/2010.
  4. Click return or the Go To button to retrieve the archived resource. For example:
  5. Click links in the page, such as internal page links and navigational links, to view the linked resource.
  6. In the History view, you can see the published versions of this resource. Click a version to view the page as it was published on that time and date:
  7. In the Artifacts view, you can view the Content Manager items used to compose the Page. Click an artifact to open it in the Content Manager Explorer:
  8. In the Profiles view, you can see the profiles defined for the archived Web site. Click a profile to view the page as it was displayed to a user matching this profile. The following image shows Profiles that have been defined based on the location of the user.

The Default user is an anonymous user for which content is always archived. An asterisk denotes that a profile does not differ from the Default user (in the example above, the EUROPE customer profile sees the same content as the default user).

  9. The Page toolbar provides information about the current viewed Page and general options:
